M38 no decal CKL 68 with slotted alu bolts

    HI Folks
yes another first for me an original M38 paratrooper helmet complete with a very nice liner and not quite complete chinstrap as the snap and bar have been cut off.
nice the shrapnel that's pierced the helmet, though i don't think its a KIA
I'll let the pics do the talking, hope you like it

    Best Regards

    Bob

interior, showing a real nice and well marked liner and also the missing snap and toggle that don't really detract that much, but your opinions are most welcome.

      Cheers

Interesting, thanks for posting. Can't quite tell but is it the "flared rim" type? Can you read the lot number?
        cheers.

                        Bob, very nice helmet.
I have one almost its twin, including cut chinstraps the only difference is mine has mid war vented-slotted spanner bolts on sides and late war slotted in rear.
                        It's CKL 71 and 4096 lot number.

What dose one of these go for nowadays about the same condition as yours with cut chinstraps?

                        Thanks, Steve

                          Hi Steve,
Many thanks for your reply, you are most welcome to post a few pics of your own para helm for comparisons

I'm not going to mention money but i would say i got it for a very good price considering what paratrooper helmet's generally sell for. It's nice to get a real deal for a change

                          Cheers

                          Bob

                            Thanks Bob,
I can't post pic's here, and I don't have a photo bucket type account. I'd be more than happy to send pics to someone's email to post for me.
I've never posted it on line anywhere. Just showed I a guy here local. I've had it for nearly 20 years and it took about that long to find one out of the woodwork.

                            Thanks
                            Steve
