Looks like a captured french Adrian converted for luftscutz use to me. I have one russian , and know of captured Russian helmets, reissued for use AA defense in Germany. J

I BUMPED THIS UP AGAIN (HOPE YOU DON'T MIND )
BECAUSE I SEARCHED THE NET AND DID NOT FIND ANY OF THESE.
JUST WONDERING IF YOU GUYS IN YOUR YEARS OF COLLECTING HAVE SEEN MANY OF THESE…
                  I KNOW IT'S NOT A DESIRABLE COMBAT HELMET BUT IT'S UNIQUE ..
I HAVE ZERO INTEREST IN LS HELMETS BUT THIS ONE STOP ME DEAD IN MY TRACKS
THANKS AGAIN ….ANY MORE OPINIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Hi, I had seen and handled one of these at a Kitzingen flohmarkt. Seen a few like this before in czech, Polish, and Russian helmets as well. Can find these examples here on the WAF

A common supplement for the Luftschutz to employ foreign helemts.

It is clearly a French WWII M.26 steel helmet refurbished for the Luftschutz and issued
in Germany to the civil defence (1943-1945).PaoloM

Il signore Marzetti is right (as always), it's indeed a french one ; it would be interesting to know whether the shell is magnetic or not.
