M35 SS DD camo helmet

Hello all,

The camo on this one looks believable to me but I wanted to get some additional opinions. I know the photos aren't the best, but does this look like a true SS DD to you? Would this be an Italian/Southern camo scheme?

I am not trying to sound sarcastic, but is it possible it is something else? I just assumed because of the sides the decals were on it made it SS related. Isn't the eagle usually on the other side on Army helmets? I'm not a helmet guy which is why I ask.

from those pics, appears to have tool marks and fresh rust. Better pics would help

I agree with William, that is not a Heer. Only DD SS has a red decal on the left ( excluding the exotic ones like SA, FH...).

I think that better photos are definitey necesary to give the correct opinion on this one....

I'm leaning towards DD SS. Will, where are u getting this luck from? This one is the second DD SS camo you have come across. Can I have some of that luck?

That helmet looks like it could be the real thing to me , even from the limited photos.
An SS M35 DD Italian front camo named to an SS officer and liberated in Italy by a veteran of the 442nd Regimental Combat team , the most decorated unit in U.S. military history. If the story is true, that would be an interesting SS camo.
