M35 DD Snake leg

Hi,

Just found this one recently in an old Brussels pub, what are your thoughts on this one. tried to find the maker but has been obscured by thick paint. The liner is marked 1931 with a MM stamped in the leather as wel as on the allu side band. Find this awkard as the chinstrap is marked with an RB number.

It's unquestionably an original early M35 Luftwaffe helmet....Not sure what's going on with the tricolor however....It looks like it's either been removed or painted over (per 1940 regulations)....The Rbn'd chinstrap would be later and may be a copy.....Bodes

Original salty helm! The chinstrap is also original late war with RBN number

Thanks guys for the kind words, yes IMO the chinstrap is a nice Original one but later added perhaps post-war.

Looks to be a very early ET helmet. Check the liner band for the maker and year. Figure it to be a 1935 Braunscheweig.

Of what I can read it dates 1931 so this has te be one of the first liner systems produced.

I took some pictures from the chinstrap, IMO it's a nice original one that was added to the helmet later in the war or post war.
