Guys could you please give me your opinion about this Allgemeine SS helmet. It seems to be lightweight helmet ( it is very light comparing to I WW helmet ). At some point was repainted ( it is still grey-green inside at bottom and in few other places ( sratches ) were liner band was. Also someone repainted the skirt inside and at few other spots in black with brush. Outside ( and inside except skirt ) painted with airbrush. Liner have riped off ( only rivets , which seems to have pernamently been riveted to liner , left ). Can't find any markings ( neither maker nor size ). Could it be some kind of parade helmet ? Does it look good or maybe it is some kind of copy ? Waiting for your opinion. Thanks in advance for your help.

Looks like a "Droop-bill" style helmet. Can't make anything out of the decals. Pics are terrible.
By the way, you sure the decals are hand painted? They don't look so to me.Comment

I never wrote that decals are painted - these seems to be normal decals. If the decals are fakes than what about helmet itself ? Could it be a good one ? or maybe some kind of repro helmet ? As you already mentioned it has drop bill ( or duck bill as many described it ) and it is very light comparing to standart M16 helmet. Well paint looks good ; painted with airbrush with only some spots brush black overpaint ( like someone would like cover something ). What is interesting is that fake decals seems to cover places where previous decals were removed ( as there are places with scratches underneat and without paint ).Originally posted by SSamir View PostComment
