Another unknown painted insignia

Another friend has this helmet. It looks to have had a camo but the rust has slowly destroyed it. There is an odd orange rectangle that remained on there. Any idea what it's for? There is a name under the liner.

The name seems "S. Swoboda".
Don't have a clue for the red rectangle on the back
