    M16 Transitional Double Decal Helmet

    Hello Gentlemen,
Any chance of getting some opinions on this M16 Transitional Double Decal Helmet. It only has a 64 stamp on the inside rim of the helmet, can't see any manufacturer stamps.
I have never owned one of these before and could use some good advise, your thoughts are appreciated.
    Again many thanks in advance.
    cheers

I'm not getting the warm fuzzies about this one, but I'd let someone more experienced be the final call.

          Hi NCO,

Seems to be a good transitional Heer helmet but heavily cleaned ( maybe to dig out the tricolor).
Also a pigskin liner could indicate a later reissue or a replace one, you must check the rivets.

          Phil.

I agree with Phil, nice heer decal and I feel an original tri colour that has been scrubbed half to death. Rgs Bill

I agree with the comments of the others. Since it's an Austrian helmet and slightly harder to find IMO it's pretty nice. Tom

Thanks for the feedback guys, it appears that way to be honest as the rivets do look slightly raised from the helmet, indicating I guess a reissue or replaced liner, we just don't know when to a degree.
However it sounds like its a hard to find helmet in this condition, what price bracket should it sit in from your experience?
                Thanking you,
                cheers
