Nice lid and well worth researching for authenticity--- all those names are begging for it.

With all the partying and drinking on VE-Day and days afterward, it's not surprising to see wrong dates or the end or the war in the European theater of operations as I have seen on several occasions. Nice helmet, head wound liner for sure.
