    Luftwaffe M42 SD help!

    Hi,
I'm looking at this Luftwaffe M42 SD ET64 on E-Medals Canada (marked sold as it's on hold):-

    http://www.emedals.com/collectors-ga...t-helmet-g9930

I can't see much wrong with it but I'm no expert. Can anyone see any issues/ red flags with it?

It's not showing up in the pictures but the leather liner is marked faintly with a 57 size stamp apparently, OK for this shell size. I asked if they could see a date on the liner band but they can't see it (too tight I imagine?)

    Best regards, Paul

      More pics

Thanks akille68! The seller has sent me more pictures (their website has had some issues recently so concerned the link wouldn't work...). Regards, Paul

                Thanks!

Many thanks to all for the feedback, much appreciated! I've been looking for a Luftwaffe M42 in this sort of condition for a while, and they haven't exactly been leaping out at me so was quite pleased when I came across this one!

                Best regards, Paul

                  Daylight pics

Don't want to bore anyone (sorry!) but finally took my own pictures in daylight. Think this is my favourite of the 3 LW helmets I have now - just the right amount of wear for my taste!

Lovely example. Some day I will get my hands on one like that.

looks even better in your pics
A word of advice ,i'd just flip that chin strap over the brim of the helmet, stops the strap from flopping about and that's how they get damaged.
                              It presents better IMO aswell

                              Regards

                              Bob
