Opinions please!

A M40 SE64 #10023

Decal and lid look ok to me, the liner is suspicous with the flaps being pulled so close together....Any opinions would be great!

A nice original WW2 lid and the liner looks 100% o.k. to me

That is not unusual to see. I actually like seeing this as it suggests constant wear over a long term to me. The leather tabs have stretched over the course of wear.

Nice honest lid. The soldier has tied the drawstring in nice and tight for a better fit on his head. Johnno.

I've changed my mind its a crap helmet and you did well to steer clear of it
I'm sure a better one will come along soon
