My first one: M35 Heer reissue

Hi! I want to show you my first ever non relic helmet! I think its Quist, size 66/58 reissue. Rivets look untouched and the lid unmessed with. The stamps are unreadable since they are under the paint. Ive put the drawstring to hold the leather together since it folds without it when you put it. I have the chinstrap but its broken and in pieces. There are initials JS on the leather.
I love the combat look! Thank you again Giorgio!

Nice M35 congrats but for me it's a 68 size shell. Liner is size 60

No it isnt! It says 61 on the leather but 66/58 on the liner ring.

Than in my opinion liner is replaced. 58-59 are the right size for a 66 shell. 60-61 is for shell size 68
        Also liner is dated 43

Liners are often marked on the inside a size or two larger that the actual size made by the machinist. The size on the inside is that of the die cut leather, and indicates the length - all the made up liners are obviously smaller.

Im sure that the leather was replaced but wartime. All the pins that hold the leather are untouched, and the liner doesnt look like it was replaced. Also the liner ring and split pins are marked 1938. That means zinc ring right?

The liner is dated 43 hence this being a reissue helmet. It is also wearing a very typical decal found on reissue lids. Nothing wrong with it IMO
