Camo Paint Question

Guys, Any chance you could take a brief look at this is ?

I am wondering if this can be original period applied sawdust camo paint ?

Its on the lid of one of my Fallschirm containers I picked up on my travels

The lid was thick with dust and dirt and merely cleaned it up with a plastic brush and soapy water and I discovered the paint underneath

Any thoughts ?? I know its not a helmet !!

That thought did cross my mind, One or two rust bubbles yes but not all over it, shame we cant upload larger files on here, close ups would be better

I will have to remove one of the lumps as it were and see if its wood !! haha
