Ground found M 38 FJ helmet

This condition similar as recovered from bombcraters. Wet soil. Sometimes the metal is gone, but leather remained in excellent condition, due acidly soil. Now I can't place photos, not near at hand. Anything surprising.
The thread starter helmet is absolutely untouched, and all metal parts and leather fits by it's condition

I think the one in question is correct as found, but I place greater trust in the opinions of "Sturm 74" and "Oleg FJ" on ground dug pieces.

i see nothing wrong here,and i have to say this one is fantastic cleaned ,nice relict helmet

I think he's probably found a better example but needs to move this one he's had off you quickly to fund it and wants/needs the full price he paid.
Instead of trying to move it on himself he's putting the squeeze on you for a refund.Personally I'd tell him to go do one.

I see no problem with this helmet at all,how much was it?,I may buy it myself if the price was right for me.

Thank you very much for your answers and opinions, what I can say this helmet was approx 25- 30 % from the price of non dug- up condition helmet. I really do not want to share price, due the owner may not such happy to advertize it. Thank you

No need to explain any further and I think the buyer should be confident in the helmet being what you claimed it was.
