Did anybody see this SS M40 DD on ebay ??

I discussed this helmet with some other people,

The problme were the blurry pictures and the wear of the helmet was a littel bit odd because it has a camo cover,
the decals are correct IMO,

Man thats a killer lid. I was talking to another forum member a month or so back who was trying to get a complete vet grouping and this exact helmet was part of the deal. Needless to say, he didnt end up with the grouping. And now heres this helmet for sale! I would take a set like that to my grave!

My opinion is that this is an ET shell with the standard ET 2nd pattern runes decal on the right side and a field-applied 1st pattern Pocher on the left. As Ty says...exactly what we would expect to see and right as rain.

Another reason to check Ebay often. I often request images of 'elite' of XX helmets listed as it isnt rare for a diamond to be in the rough. Unfortunately others know as well and I have yet to win one.

At the beginning of this year there were two superb W-SS officers visors on Germany ebay that got snapped up for a fraction of the real value. One in particular looked like it was issued yesterday.
