The soldier would appear to NOT be police, as he is wearing an early Heer M36 style tunic, with early Reichsheer tress (Luftwaffe style).

Actually the 4th SS (Polizei) division wore Army style collar insignia on their tunics......Bodes

If you consider Polizie collar tabs Army style, well then I would agree, but NOT Army collar tabs. In my opinion, these are Army collar tabs, with Army color waffenfarbe, vs the Polizei style which are silver on without waffenfarbe on a green (jager color green) background.

Well, the helmet in the photo appears to have a border to me....And since the national decal is borderless......The only logical explanation is the transfer is either SS or a Party decal.....And if that's the case, the guy is not Heer or Luftwaffe.....Bodes

I stand corrected.....Upon closer examination, I can see what looks like the outline of a tri-color decal.....Bodes
