Modified Luftwaffe Helmet

Hello,

I was wondering what you thought of this one. Now I know that unit armourers would modify existing M35/40/42 helmets for use over their existing flying helmet, but do you think this particular one is original? I have never seen one for sale before so apart from pictures I have nothing to compare it to.

Hi,

Who can tell ?
There're known originals with the red eagle and bomb ,but I think this one is just a copy ..
They're easy to make and don't have any textbook features to hold on IMO.
Extremely hard to judge..
It's like flare bandoleers for the legs ,most were self-made and less survived,all you see are fakes..

It says World War II M40 PATTERN (sometimes people use the term TYPE) which is generally a sign that it's a copy .....

The only way I would buy an item such as this is from either Bill Shea, or Chuck Jager. I would even have to question Christ's motivations if he offered it to me.
