I must admit decals are not my strong point, but I think this one may be a copy. It seems someone took a very rusted shell and applied a thick coat of enamel paint and then put heat to it in some form, giving you those wrinkles which I have never seen on an original camo. That helmet is a one look fake as you will learn the more helmets you see. I feel the liner may also be suspect.Comment

Could be wrong but at first sight the shell, liner, chinstrap and decal look OK to me...

Thank you for all your comments. I know this helmet collection for 23 years. It was found in flea market in Paris in 1989 and for me this helmet has never been dismantled, the heer insign is authentic. The painting is very old and seems to me the same origin if it does not match the models couramant encountered. I join other pictures taken in daylight. Thank you to you.
