    M35 DD Heer tan camo

    Hi all,

This is up for sale locally, seller has owned it since the 80's where he bought it as a Vet bringback from Nth Africa, but is now unsure of it's originality.

He says......" I simply don't know for sure how much of the finish is original, if it's been repainted it was done a very long time ago.
Heer DD's look good, though appear to have been scratched around after the fact, and it looks like lacquer has been applied to the tri colour.
Liner is original and shows considerable use, paint shows extensive wear.
Shell is 64cm, ET maker with production code 2374. Chinstrap is a high quality repro"

Can I have some thoughts on this please? Cannot supply a picture of the other decal yet, although that will follow asap?

    Thanks, Tony

Tricolor seems dug and touched up.

The liner and strap remind me of a "Latvian special". Has that faked look to it.

The amount of pure crap available these days is astounding.

At least the seller in the ad has suggested the helmet is no good, purchased from an Auckland militaria dealer many years ago as a genuine article.

Good on him for his 'honesty' and taking the hit.

Yep, exactly Rob, the seller made it quite clear it probably wasn't original
