With a single decal in the shape of a shield on the right side, SS is about all it can be. Looks convincing to me too.

Let me see. M42 with decal remnants on right side. And, you can see the outline near the bottom of the sheild (well at least what remains). You wouldn't have to argue with me too long to convince me if the camo is authentic, that it would have been an SS helm.

At these time it was a very expensive helmet and all my friends tell me I was totally crazy to put so much money in it. Now if I tell you how much I'd pay it you'll all laughing
