Looks like a nice straightforward helmet with appropriate decal.

For once- a nice, unmessed with and original helmet.

                Greetings!
                Beautiful 40 NS Heer!
I would like to ask you to specify the lot number and size. If you do not complicate.
                NS64?
                Thank you!

I think we need to know the date and manufacturer on the liner band before we call this one untouched. I'm guessing replaced liner.

                  Cheers,
                  Terry

new pic, can't see the manufacturer of the liner band... but I'am absolutly sure it's not a replaced liner!

How can you be so sure? It is an aluminum reinforced liner band and only one company made those after 1939 - Werner Zahn. This does not look like a WZ liner, based on the ink stamp in the leather. I would not feel comfortable with an M40 helmet with an aluminum liner band, unless the liner was made by WZ and dated 1940 or later. That's why I think it is replaced. There is also a little unattributed paint on the band as you can see in your latest picture.

Even if you cannot make out the liner maker can you see the date on the liner band? Maybe read it backwards from the inside of the band?

                      Cheers,
                      Terry
