[IMG][EMAIL="vonor@bigpond.com"Im having a bit of trouble finding how to upload my images for this helmet which has been authenticated by Kelly Hicks as a genuine Droop bill.
It has had a post war fresh coat of paint but the condition of the entire helmet is amazing, the liner which is typical to the droop bill is riveted to the shell and it has a carabiner chinstrap in black leather.
There is a name on the liner which looks like Spacil or Spalie written in fountain pen ink. The shell has no dings, splits or rust which indicates it has been kept in a dry storage for almost 80 years.
Had it kept its original paint this helmet would have been worth over $12,000.
I am taking offers because I will be selling almost all of my helmet collection.
I'm going to continue to try with the images for now.http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/images/smilies/11doh.gif
