Droop bill helmet for sale

[IMG][EMAIL="vonor@bigpond.com"Im having a bit of trouble finding how to upload my images for this helmet which has been authenticated by Kelly Hicks as a genuine Droop bill.
It has had a post war fresh coat of paint but the condition of the entire helmet is amazing, the liner which is typical to the droop bill is riveted to the shell and it has a carabiner chinstrap in black leather.
There is a name on the liner which looks like Spacil or Spalie written in fountain pen ink. The shell has no dings, splits or rust which indicates it has been kept in a dry storage for almost 80 years.
Had it kept its original paint this helmet would have been worth over $12,000.
I am taking offers because I will be selling almost all of my helmet collection.
I'm going to continue to try with the images for now.http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/images/smilies/11doh.gif

You have to be an associate member to post pictures.
They must also be posted on the e-stand.
You must also state a price.

Hi Ferret and welcome to the Forum.

Just go up to the top right hand side just under the 3 black and white images, and just below the centre image you will see the tag A.Member just click on that and you can join.

Post a reply. On the tool bar for the message, just beside the smily, the is a paper clip: click on it and you will get a new window for you to upload files from your computer. That will do

You don't have to be an association member to post pictures. You can use a photobucket account to upload pictures....

A droop bill SS might have been worth 12k, but they were also issued to police, and luftschutz etc. A Luftschutz example might get a few hundred dollars. What is the colour of the interior paint? If you pm me I will post pictures for you for a discussion thread, but you need to be an association member to use the estand (classified section) here.

Welcome

As stated, Welcome to the Forum. Also I believe to sell items on this forums E-Stand you will need to purchase the yearly (renewable) Association members dues which is $25 per year. Look forward to see some of your collection.

!2K is not anything like what I expected for my example. give me your email and I'll send you some pix of this droop bill that I got in Germany in the 70's.
I would post images here but I don't understand the system yet what is the URL anyway ?.
