I think it should be looked at more closely, I'm not saying it's good but it's not a one look fake to me. The break/rune bottom seems to match a Q rune well and there is some damage making it difficult to tell how rakish the runes are exactly in the pic. Do you have a digital usb microscope?

IMO runes are above the breakline of the shield. Seems to be a bogus Pocher decal to me especially from the rear angle. Helmet has a bad impression, decal looks faint with no hue at all and condition does not correlate with the helmet itself in general. Could be a messed relic lid upgraded by a repro decal to fool buyers. Never seen Q SS M40 lid with reinforced alu liner. Just wondering what that string could be inside Reminds me of those latvian fakes, sorry. Decal closeups needed but surely not one I'd comfortable with.

Those are ET runes, on a Q shell. Maybe and a BIG maybe witnessed twice, it would have to be a champagne runic shield.

Sorry, my mistake !! Closer examination, it is not an ET decal it is a poor attempt copy of a Pocher. IMO a fake helmet that was buried.
