The thread about helmet prices made me think of this very well-worn Heer helmet that I have. It has obviously seen a lot of use and maybe some abuse, I believe that the liner has never been out but the heavy wear makes it hard to say for certain. Most of the paint is worn off the exterior, the steel has a patina that I find appealing and I think it has a lot of character. The decal, too, is of course very heavily worn. I really enjoy this helmet but I have bought a lot lately and can't keep everything. I have been considering possibly offering this on the E-Stand. I was thinking of a asking around $500, I feel like a few years ago this helmet might have sold quickly at that price to someone looking for a well-worn helmet with a been-there look, but in this market I am uncertain. What would be a reasonable collector price for this helmet on the open market today? Any feedback would be welcome and appreciated.
