FAKE RAD fieldcap

Hello,

here are some pictures a seller sent me,he is trying to sell this as an original RAD fieldcap,i dont like the stictching, the liner,or the lack of control stamp markings or makers mark on the inside,(besides the great pen writting "REICH" ) that and it is in "mint unissued" condition ,the machine embroidered insignia may be original but it would be impossible to tell without blacklight/burn tests,anyone else see anything else wrong with it that i did not mention

I tried to fix them with no luck,the pics the seller sent were actually very clear,i dont know why they uploaded on the site like that,if anyone wants the pics send me a PM and i will email them to you.

I don't like the shape of the turnups--I've never seen a RAD cap shaped like this. The insignia looks hokey to me as well.

i saw a picture today of a east german sidecap with heer insignia,the cap was identical in every way,so someone added a real/fake RAD insignia to a east german cap and sold it as real on ebay it started out at $20 and sold for $60,the original picture that was posted on ebay was so blurry that i actually got happy for a second and emailed the seller for these pictures,i knew as soon as i saw them it was no good,i was thinking maybe a east europe fake till i saw that east german sidecap on ebay.

As a RAD cap it is nonsense. Maybe the buyer will remove the RAD insignia and restore the GDR.

Here is a real unissued RAD schiffchen, you can see the cut of cap is different,also here is a photo of interior, with makers and RAD unit marks.

Hi Kevin, nice hat...are the two vent holes on each side a prerequisite for originality of a schiffchen OR there were original schiffchens with out vent holes?

i have one with 2 vent holes like the one Kevin pictured (it is actually made by the same company) i also have a original with one vent hole on each side.
