Got this cheap from ebay, really cant tell much from the pics so lets hope for the best. I know the red paint could be a warning but how knows before a hands on inspection......

The red doesn't look like anything I've seen before. Bad start. If everything else is original though and it's a smooth texture original paint, you should try cleaning the red off with a paint cleaning clay like Griots Claybar. Let some others comment on the red though. -

Do you have a pic of the liner, because the paintjob is crap IMO,
The red is not good and the tan color looks more like gold,
Maybe something for in your z-mas tree,
But if it has a original liner.........

yes there was a pic of the liner too.
crappy pics as always on EBAY.
Seller says its more brown color and not red.
If its a total fake, then I try to pay his ebay fees so I dont have pay the total amount for the helmet.

and yes, as you can see there is some writing on the inside. "Gefreiter Hoth 739242".
Also a weak stamp that he cant really see, but looks like it ends with a 4, maybe ET64Comment

Maybe it's so far got the thumbs down from everybody, but if it was really cheap, ie 30 euro?,then maybe it's not so bad.Always something to reference, or stick a camo-cover onto for display purposes?
