Hello everyone, this is my first posting and I have to say I already like this site , and I hope I can contribute to it. I have some free time on my hands so I went to my stored boxes.
German helmets are not my field and I picked up a mod 42 some time ago when I bought a lot of navy items.
I spend some time reading in this forum about all the fake German helmets floating around. And I started to wonder about mine. With all those helmets on the marked and if they all were authentic, every German Landser had to go to war with at least five of them on his back and all of them double decals. So I would appreciate every input, good or bad.
First and I know some of you will spit on me for this, but when I got the helmet the leather was so gone that I removed it .....yeaah I know bad idea , I will not do it again.
Here are the markings I found in it.
DRP Schuberik Werks Braunschweig 1940
66 ??
Name inside of the leather
PAULUS
and a dome stamp I can not make out.
I wanted to join a couple of pictures but I did not succeed so I opended a web for those of you who have a minute to spare.
