Hi,
My Uncle recently gave this hat to me to sell for him. He brought it home from Dusseldorf in 1945 and has never touched it. I am not a headgear collector so I am hoping that some of the forum members can assist me with an identification of this hat.
I believe it is an Artillery EM hat. The red piping would indicate to me that it is for a soldier in the Artillery. My question is that the hat has the symbol for (what I believe) the veterans organization. Also pinned to the hat is a veteran stickpin.
What could be the possible explanation for this, as I believe the veterans hats are supposed to be blue. Or is this some oddball variation?
Additionally, the hat is named. Is this to an Unteroffizer?
Also what would be a price on such a hat.
