Hello gentlemen,
Some of you might know this puppy because it has been shown to you before but I would like to show you this nice M40 single decal Heer helmet with a british camo net likely picked up from a KIA soldier in the field.
It is just stunning to imagine what this helmet has seen and been through. The camo net is in beautiful supple shape and so is the whole helmet. Decal has been rubbed away almost entirely due to wear of the netting. I just love the wear and the looks of this helmet!
The liner and chinstrap are also very supple and in beautiful condition.
Soldiers first name is "Trunk" written inside the liner and the second one is "J. Simon" even scratched into the liner leather.
Some data:
Maker: EF
Size: 64
Lotnumber:7731
Chinstrap maker:GUSTAV REINHARDT - BERLIN - 1938
One of the last pictures shows a german medic with exactly this kind of helmet! Really cool!
Best regards from Germany to all!
