    Have an old M42,,any links on liner removal?

    If the rivets are rusty they will probably break when bending the prongs back to the upright position.

    You can get replacement rivets but they probably won't match the colour of the helmet.

        I would'nt remove the liner. If it's a no decal. They will soon be the rarest helmet.

            By removing the liner and replacing it, you essentially wreck it in my opinion.
