      Unless it has a date on it and you want to match the date it could fit any M35, M40 or M42 helmet really.

          Looks like it might be shortened. Count the holes when you get it and anything less than 13 will mean the date has been cut off. BUT that was done a lot wartime and this looks to have a lot of age to it.

          If it is shorter it would likely fit a size 60 or 62 shell the best.

            It's about 30 cm long, so I think it will fit a 62 shell.

              I'd put it on a salty M35 personally, with the aluminium fittings it has that says earlier to me. Certainly an original one.

                M35 mainly, but could be used on an early M40. It has been shortened as Adam suggested but appears to have been period done.
