Cammo Helmet on estand

I'm will be getting this and would like your comments. I've not owned a cammo helmet and will be replacing the liner with a period one.

Dallas, I don't think it would be a good idea to change the liner. That would not only involve messing around with a helmet's original, untouched (other than, as Billy has noted, the decal being dug out) condition, but it would also involve messing around with the rivets. I personally think that an untouched helmet with a liner that is nearly gone is much more preferable than a helmet with a good liner that is a post war put together piece. Think about it carefully, because I think the value of your helmet may be adversely affected if you decide to mess with it.

Walter, I think you overlooked the part in the description that says someone has already replaced the liner: "somebody has taken out the liner and put in a beat one."

Ah, I simply read his message in this thread (which mentions replacing the liner) and looked at the picture in the other thread. If the liner has already been replaced, then of course no harm done in replacing it once again.
