Took a few days but collectors are returning to GDC..IF you have a password and the email has been verified try this link : http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/ubb.x You enter info again , click and should be sent to a GDC info page. There are one or 2 items with a * that must be filled out. Then click and you should be on site...after than its a one button afair to get on just like this one. Thanks , G.

I have been through this exact process at least 5 times now. I had success yesterday for a short time since my computer-guru son was able to circumvent "groupee's" system. However, no such luck today...can't log on no-how! I guess they simply don't want my business. If they did it would be easier to log on.

Interesting is that it works for some people. Not for me.

To those who have access, has the issue of the massive, seemingly random information deletion from older threads been resolved?
There were some superb threads that were deleted perhaps never to return.

I'm not actually sure i would like to return after this fiasco.

But I have no access AT ALL, not as a member and not as a guest.
I can visit the Groupee website but there is no link to any other Forums of the Groupee-community except the Groupee-Forum itself (which is rather boring for me).

It is ... ah, forget it.

For days the same error messages, I have no guest access either. Are the powers that be at the GDC going to attempt to get the rest of us access? How about an email saying OOOps hang on...or is it " oh well we get in ....sorry?" I have even attempted from a different email, re-registered under a different name.........still no access. Well, on a brighter note I'll get to spend some time here, I came here everyday for the e-stand anyway...the best place to see militiria for sale on a daily basis on the ENTIRE WEB. So, I'm gonna give the GDC one log on attempt per day, quit whining about it and see you guys on these forums, as I am sure there has been an exodus of GDC refugees arriving on a daily basis.

I'm still in the same boat...no access to GDC. I sent yet another email off to Vern yesterday with no reply. However, I did hear a rumour that the administrators were looking into getting another host for the site?? We'll see what happens. As you say though, it would be nice to get some sort of "official" information as to what is or what is not going on. This lack of communication from GDC is terrible.

Well, if you aint happy, why not set up one between yourselves? This is not sarcasm, but serious.

Before I continue, this is not meant to steal members form WA or GD.... just maybe an other easier alternative...

I run the Militaria Collector's Network, http://www.milcol.net which is a general militaria forum, although I have set up a german helmet forum in there. I run a freelance hosting/web design business as well as my day job as Professional Photographer.

If you want I'll set you all up a free German Helmets Forum on my helmet site, http://www.tin-lids.co.uk which you can all join free, post pics free, choose your own moderators etc. and no hassles. It can concentrate SOLELY on german helmets. It's got good bandwidth, great forum software and attach pics direct easily, no hassles, tags, hosting etc.

Just a thought, not to replace WA or GD, as well as.

You'll get an idea of the look of such a forum at my general militaria forum, Militaria Collector's Network, http://www.milcol.net which you are all welcome to join as well if you like.

Sorry if this annoys anyone or moderators, just that I'm getting fed up with GD as well, and groupee. If you want this, the forum would be run by YOU LOT, not me!! I's just do the techie and hosting bit, you call the shots.
