    Hitler Youth helmet decals?

Saw an ad for Hitler Youth helmet decals. I've never seen any pictures of HJ wearing helmets. Are these decals authentic or fantasy? Anyone got pics of a HJ helmet with decals?

Theses are for M34 fire helmets. There is a pic floating around of a locker room with these lids on top.

Collectors say the decals of HJ diamond with no shield was never put on Luft helmets, but German-helmets.com had one that it says is original. Unfortunaty, I can't pull up that site today.

Edit: this page has a pic of a Luft with the HJ diamond decal. I don't know the author's authority for the info.

The other site was a research site. Apparently the web hosting fee isn't being paid now

About 20 years ago, maybe more, I saw a tiny sized helmet, I think it was an M-40 with a superbly hand-painted HJ diamond on the side at a Houston gun show.
The helmet was a dark blue if I recall correctly. Now I cannot say that this was wartime applied but whoever did it was a very good painter as it looked almost like a decal until you closely examined it.
The paint and wear seemed to match as if it had been painted on long ago. I wish it could have talked...

No doubts HJ decals were issued and used.
I have seen pics of civil style helmets adorned with that specific decal.
We cannot esclude some ended up on combatte ones

I have never seen any HJ decals I though had a chance of being original.

This brings up an interesting possibility that I have always wondered about:

#1 All these helmet decals as well as other militaria were available for private purchase.
#2 Towards the end of the war, Germany was plunged into chaos. While there were definitely rules and regulations for what was "authorized wear", enforcement of those rules would be difficult, if not impossible.

So saying "no way they ever used them" would be quiet a stretch. Private individuals COULD purchase these decals and install them on pretty much anything. While I have the greatest respect for knowledgeable members of this forum, saying "I never saw any decals I thought were original" is an opinion based on experience. Again, it is no doubt an authorative opinion. But I like the saying "never say never".

I emailed Brian Bell today telling him that his site is down. He has written books on German helmets- one titled " Wehrmacht Combat Helmets 1933-1945." Brian has collected helmets for nearly 40 years.

That helmet the HJ with the rifle is wearing is very interesting! Looks like an M16. Those 2 last pics are new decals for me.
