...to the shop first thing this morning along w/ a small pile of cloth. For those of you who can dig "salty" helmets, this is a nice looking example of a camouflaged / re-issue M35 w/ brushed on textured field gray over the early apple-green, quite a bit of which is still plainly evident where the over-paint has worn off. The liner is mostly gone (thanks to either mice or dry-rot I'm sure), however the chinstrap is still intact and full length. The decal is also nearly fully intact, save for the very tip of the eagles head. Also interesting to note, is some old bailing twine still attached at the rear of the liner band, perhaps left-over from an old camouflage attempt With the addition of original replacement leather, this would be a pretty sweet helmet!
