Whew!!!
This poor little helmet was about to have a BAD day till I came along, some guy found it this weekend and was about to shoot it at close range with a AK47 saying "all German helmets should have bullet holes in them"...... oh my...
Some peoples kids....
Well after hemming and hawing about for 1/2 an hour I was able to buy it without any bullet holes in it....
Hope you enjoy, fresh out of the woodwork so to speak...

Not as bad as my father cutting the end off our family's Confederate Civil War sword to make a butcher knife. True story. He said he never had anything but old stuff growing up so he didn't think anything about it. I got the two pieces and had them welded together when I was around 30. The end made a terrible butcher knife- too thick.
