    M35 For review

Interested to hear some opinions on this M35, the paint finish appears to be original and is a matt slate grey finish worn smooth on the outside hence the shiny polish look, but retains the matt finish inside. I'd heard some one mention that slate grey was only used for a short time before switching to feldgrey. There also appears to be shadow of a decal on the right side, would that be consistent with Wehrmacht?

If you look very carefully you can see a shadow of presumably a decal (below)

Looks like Luftwaffe blue/grey to me but not sure if it's wartime. Looks like there was a tri-colour shield on the right side. Can we see another photo of where the eagle should be? Nice and straight on.

Try to ignore the blue hue to the photographs, just the light conditions and the camera have combined to look this way. It is most definitely a plain slate grey not lufty blue.
Not much point trying to photograph the other side in any more detail, absolutely no trace of any decal.....zip, nothing. Just a shadow on the right side, which seems odd as wouldn't a single decal have the Adler on the other side?

That's wild! I was totally leaning towards luft-blue as well! I can see the grey, though - but like Adam not too sure about whether its wartime or not.

Strange that the decal ghosting is on the right side, but as you said nothing seems to show on the left. All very curious indeed. Maybe some shots in less natural lighting, just some good quality indoor lighting..? Not sure if this would help or not though.

Try to get some pics in the open air under day light.
From these pics a reiussed M35 Lw helmet for me.

Thanks guys, I'll try and re-photograph under better light conditions, heavens knows why the camera and given it such a blue tint. Slate grey it is without doubt.

Yeah the decal shadow is totally foxing me?

              Sorry,
for me is a M35 LW.
On the right side the tricolor, on the left, visible even with a poor quality pic, the outline of a second pattern LW eagle.
              Nice helmet.
