Estate Sale M40 SE62 ex-camo AND ex-snow camo!

Gents, my latest acquisition. This helmet is direct from a veteran estate. SE62 M40 that has remnants of green/brown camo as well as a lot of snow camo (white washed)...it's like two helmets in one! The decal is mostly gone (and was thus so done by the soldier before camo'ing it) so I can't tell what branch the single decal is. Please let me know if you know otherwise. The liner is 90%+ there, but VERY brittle. Regardless, I'm happy and paid a very good price!

Green camo contrasts nicely with the original factory applied grau. Liner is still there but very brittle. The chinstrap came apart at one point but it still attached to the bales.

What gives it away as a luftwaffe helm? I tried really hard to look at the close-up pictures and the lid itself, comparing with close-up pictures, but couldn't come to a good conclusion on it.
