Thanks, and I agree, the liner has brass rivets and is very reddish. The camera I was using doesn't do the "actual" colors justice. But certainly adds it's own hint of color.

I did try and do research on an F. Brunswig. 28 German Military soldiers are recorded with that last name, but only 2 with the first initial F. and only one which fought from 39-43 (when he died in Spring on the Eastern front)

He was a Lt in the Luftwaffe.

Could be his, or maybe not.. Probably will never know..

Your helmet is a post war put together and we are not just saying this to put you down that is just what it is.We all wish we could tell you that is was as you think it is but the truth is that it is not.I have been collecting for 51 years and have seen more of these types of helmets that you will ever see.The rest of the people here know their helmets and this helmet is a no brainer.Everyone of us here has had a bad helmet (I know I have)and no one here wants to put you down and we understand how you feel but the truth is the truth and that's that.This thing about jews and nazies is just un called for.Everybody here will go out of their way to help you but if you feel you don't want it and we all are a bunch of collectors that don't know that this helmet is not what you think and believe it is then you should go else where.Good luck to you in the furture.
