M40 q66 lw dd

Hey guy´s,

this is my first post
Can you take a look on this M40 ?
It´s an Quist in size 66,
first he´s painted in regular Luftwaffen blue than in winterwhite and over the white is the last camo in fieldgreen.
The last second colors are over the decals.

Please help me , i want youre opinions about him

Hi,

I presume you're asking whether its original? I'm by no means an expert but as far as I know double decal M40 Heer helmets don't seem to turn up often (Single decal M40s are a lot more common), winter camo is also desirable to collectors so if you were going to fake a helmet you may go for this camouflage scheme as it commands a higher price. The Tri colour seems to have a rounded bottom to it which is often on pre-war decals (unlikely to appear on an M40 IMO).

There seems to be a number of scratches around the decals making me think someones tried to 'dig' them out, which could mean they are original. Unfortunately I am not experienced enough to say whether or not it is original. I hope this gives you something to go on although I appreciate it isn't much.
