Im trying to help a vets son out, he wants to sell a Heer SD M40 and a medal group, If you could give the helmet and medals the once over and a value, I would be very grateful.

Hi, The M40 helmet looks fine, sorry can't comment on the medals not my area. I'd estimate the helmet value at between $500-$650

Medals dont look good to me specially the second class Iron cross.....

The medals as a group make sense, but the EK2 does look a bit iffy. Not my field though. Helmet looks OK.

Thanks for your replies. I first saw the helmet on ebay last week and asked the seller for pics of the decal, I liked the Bigfoot decal but the leather was cut-away so it wasnt for me,the seller email me telling me ebay had delisted the helmet and offering the helmet and medals for a sum of money, but I didnt want the helmet and Im not a collector of medals,so I sent him a link to this site and said I would post pics and get a value. I then told him to pay a few $ and list them on estand, he told me he was a vets son and I felt sorry for him,and thats about it.
