The rotating swastika is made with white lead based paint. What unit could it be from? Thank you in advance.

No offence meant, but with these pics it could be absolutely anything, all the way to film prop. I have seen this type of swastika on M34 police helmets, rarely anything else. With hand painted insignia you will need to put up some super sharp macro shots. Interior shots and manufacturers markings on the helmet would be good too.

HaHa... yes the pics suck. I was offered the helmet from a local my in my town. I only had my cell phone. I will get some better pics with a real camera. Almost certainly GI art painted helmet, done post war. There was a time when everything looked much better with a swastika on it!
