Heer splinter pattern cover

Hello,

I would like to have some opinions about this Heer splinter pattern cover in almost mint condition.

Reversible to white with foliage loops fits a size 66 helmet.

In the back very slight traces of a stamp are to be found, but very difficult to read. Could be one of those SS-stamps.

String used is neither the mostly encountered white or camo material one. Looks like the strings as used in equipment bags.

Greetings: Regardless of the tie string that is an original cover. The stitching is correct as is the material. Congrats.

sorry i was away for awhile. For one the drawstring is crap. The hemmed bottom edge is too scalloped for my likes. the drawstring opening is not correct. the color of the thread appears to be too grey and the stitching looks to be to wide. I am not pleased with the material overall based on the photos. It just doesn't look right. Also the foliage loop ends should be folded over then sewn and it does not appear that way based on pics. i have had several covers in the past and currently own one that has been with the helmet forever and that is where i made my comparisons from. i have had that cover for 20 years.

There was not just one firm making covers so they can vary from one maker to another.I have a good one and this one looks o.k to me.

Having owned 4 or 5 - I'd say that is a fine cover. No worries here.
