Nice begin of 2012 - m35 DD SS

Hi guys.

This nice shell was found on attic few days ago. Someone know that I'm collectiong german stuff and give it to me .
I never supose that could happend to me
It was Double Decal but decal from left side unfortunetly was removed from some reasons.

Helmet was not cleaned so it's still dirty and dusty.

I'm not collecting an SS items - but few weeks ago I found panzer schoulderboard, now this helmet... some kind of sigsn ?

Nice find:
Was it illegal to own items with the swastike on them during the Communist domination of Poland?
Perhaps that would explain the decal removal.

Helmet was found in Sweden - to Poland it cames with person who found it when he cames for christmas.

That was/is an ss decal thats been painted over and then exposed a bit, but i think most of the decal is still there under the paint.It was most probably a double runic ss, and then the ss runes on the left side was painted over.

mrhelmet - belive or not, but helmet wasn't repaitned. Shield from the left side is removed by sandpaper or rubber - I think that was double runic too - becaouse there is no traces of red paint.

Why double runic ? Am I the only one who see alot of red spots left ? The base color of the swastika shield is also white so if rubbed deep it looks white..

Looks to me like a double decal not double runic, that appears to be the cellulose base of the party shield which was removed by some rough surface implement of some kind. Great way to start the year with a DD Q SS, even in this condition!
