    Artillery officer visor

Hi all posting this artillery officer visor for member Norwegian. Any comments? Do any of you have a picture of a officer at a selfproppeled artillery?

    Cheers!

That insignia looks artificially antiqued to me.

      Hi!

The eagle is original, but the cocarde is not after what I have heard. Then again thise insignias isnt that hard to find original and therfor I do not care (for this moment)

      cheers

        Hi Olav,

I beleive that the sweatband has been restitched at some point of time and the the thick type of aluminum cord is a replacement. If you could provide a close pic of insignia would be helpful.

        Best Regards,
        Tony

          Yep!

And there are some glue in the band to, so alot of things have been done with this one after the war! I was also a bit unsure with the cord, and im not 100% happy about it, I hoped therefor that some of you guyes could see if it was bad!?

But the visor looks good, or....?

I really don't like the look of the age on that eagle...it's still a nice cap but the insignia have been applied postwar (reguardless of whether or not they're correct)...I guess the sweatband could have been resewn during the period...but who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if a veteran found his cap some 20 years after the war to be losing it's vigour...and so he took it to be repaired, making it tampered with but not with the intention of fooling anyone.

I immediately thought the exact same thing. Does this cap come from
the same source as the Panzer, Olav? They appear to be original caps,
                but poorly repaired/upgraded.

Hi, this is Norwegians caps, but I may answer, the caps does not come from the same source.

                  Cheers
