Killer M35 DD Polizei

Just picked this one up. ET 68 (!) M35 DD. Great paint. Leather is separating from the aluminum liner a bit. Liner marked 1939 "metall-lederxxxxxxxxx
Bln.-GHburg" Chinstrap is dated 193_. Faint remains of the dome stamp. Original drawstring.

Here's the kicker . . . This helmet switched services. Beneath the polizei decal and the party shield are a Heer decal and a tricolor. No doubt about it. Well . . . I could let my imagination run wild and say there's a KM eagle under the polizei (it's awfully gold) . . . There are remains of varnish on the paint surrounding the decals.

Sure, Chris . . . Only problem with it . . . it smells pretty bad. Like fertilizer. Gotta find a way to deodorize it.

I wouldn't touch it, a bad smell never killed anybody ; but a bad product on the leather may kill your liner. And well, if your nose's too delicate, send it to me, I'll be happy to oblige you this way...

ET68, man that's one huge bucket. A great lid though no doubt. I really like the ones that were reissued with the 2 decals under the police ones. Good find.

For me it is really killing helmet, because last time I start collect polizei uniform and equipment. I would like to have in my collection something like this item.
