How many times more are you gonna ask just for opinions? Nothing wrong with asking opinions on certain items but the other day you did so on a very clear bogus DD SS and now you're not sure about this obvious original piece.
All your threads are asking for opinions - from simple greatcoats, jackboots to helmets,ect...!! Certain pieces are clear bogus others clear original. You just don't see certain features which are basic information for any collector, and I'm not talking about specialized fields of collecting.
You obviously have the need to buy original militaria - as we all have - but I would suggest to buy some basic books and read some older threads instead of posting every piece of militaria you see online and like to have...
With such very limited knowledge I wonder about comments like : 'I might pass on this one...". You really want to run before you can walk!
I noticed you bought your first helmet this year and it turned out to be a fake. I can understand your hesitation but IMO by building up an entire collection based ONLY on 'opinions asked'-posts overhere, you learn nothing! No value is added to the forum either.
Oh well, I've posted my opinion!

Jan B.
allot of people can learn from opinions, even if it's about the stupidest bogus helmet
till a clearly original y-strap. That's 1 thing that makes a forum a good reference.
I've passed the first helmet because the price is the same as the
second helmet i posted. And the second looks allot better.
And if i'm a newbie or advanced collector that's my case and
not yours to evaluate in public.
Next time i
make a foto with a german helmet on my head and ask how i look with it for you,
rather than asking opinions about militaria ?
You interfere with another ones business "No value is added to the forum"
All the others, thanks for you great help!!!Last edited by octavianvs; 11-09-2011, 08:46 AM.
