Does that NS decal resemble the texture and composition of a Q decal. It appears to have the same look. Other than the fact one is a 1st and the other is a 2nd.
It's nice to finally see an example of one.

No, this NS is not quite the same as a Q 1st pattern in texture. This one has a pink-ish hue to it or a "champagne" colour, as you know. However, the NS decals have been described as having a "sprayed-on" look about them...very micro-thin and blend into the helmet paint almost to the point where you cannot see where the decal ends and the helmet begins. Even the runes and metallic field appear to blend together.

I learned the hard way that we can no longer rely on the "metalic content" to distiguish real from fake.

Also, I base my comments on factory issue, due to the presence of a dome stamp on it. I am not aware of reissue with the stamps. The decal does show high metallic content and is a toned amber color. Wish I had better pics
