    Relic Austrian Helmet

A couple years ago I found this dug-up Austrian M1916 at the Sunday flea-market in Florence, Italy. A rusted relic. What I find odd is that the vent stubs and all of the rivets are gone. It’s understandable that the liner would be gone, but the stubs? Hummmmm.....

I found a fiew relic helmet where the stups where rusted away, because the
material is very thin, only the liners are remaining ... or the liner and stups
getting brocken during excavation, because the helmets stuck in the earth for more than 60 years

The washer holding the lug in is very thin & once that corrodes away, the lug can easily come out.
