questions about m43 cap..Afrika..not?

Is it Africa or not? Its stamped 1943 Hans Voss Berlin. Of course that could have been added now...sorry for the bad pic because you can't see the writing.
Next the ventilation holes are sewn,not metal. It can't be made for the africa campain as it was over by 1943.
The Trapazoid in the front where the patch used to be, is it heer,luft or SS?

Unfortunately, just cuz it tan, don't always mean Afrika Korps. We like to refer to those as tropical. Could be southern Russia, Italy, Greece, etc. And secondly, my initial impression is reproduction. I don't recall one made lacking metal vent grommets. Maybe closer inspection is needed. Let's see what the others have to say.

Original??? I don't know. It was examined by "experts" at military shows. They said the material and stiching was good. It was the missing ventilation rings that were throwing them off. The cap has marks on teh front where the insignia used to be. The sun bleached the material except for where the Trapezoid was. Is it possible to syntheticaly bleach the area except for where the insignia was?
