I spent some time in Cairo 15 years ago and at that time presidential guards were still wearing German helmets .

Oops, brain f..rt, I meant Egypt for the helmets! Czechoslovakia did ship German and CS arms to the Israelis, but you're right, I doubt they sent helmets.
